Oooh, I can make out the wings pretty good in this one! Go, butterfly, go!
Ohhh, it’s getting so close! Beautiful! Thanks again for sharing!
This is soooo cool! The translucency shows the structure well. Your photos are great.
Pretty soon a flutter-by!
Ooooooooohhhh! This is the coolest! You will have to call in sick at work so you can be home when he breaks free. We will cover for you!
Susan: I’m taking the day off tomorrow. Imagine explaining that to your boss – “well, there’s this chrysalis that’s about to…”
I just hope tomorrow is the day. How to know for sure?
Lynne: Pretty soon, I guess. I had my DH go home late this afternoon and check on it – so afraid I’m going to miss it!
Pam: You’re back! It’s been fun watching it change a little each day.
Naturewoman: Close – yep. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
Bunnygirl: This butterfly has a long way to go and it’s getting cold here! 50 degrees tonight – I hope it will be tomorrow – starting to worry for it!
Looking very close in that photo, Laura! I hope you’ll be there when the butterfly ecloses. (-:
WOW! yours is much closer than mine, I think. I’ll take another photo tonight and see if it’s growing darker like yours is. Last I checked, it was still quite green. Sept 1 was its Day 1, so mine should “eclose” (to borrow new vocab from Bev)maybe Sunday? Monday?
If it doesn’t happen on Sunday, I could swear I already feel a bit of a stomach bug coming on. I’m very tuned-in to my body’s messages and I can practically feel the white blood cells preparing to mount against the coming germs.

Just me rambling about birds, books, bunnies, or whatever!
